Motivation. It’s a great thing.
It helps you take the actions required to do what you want to do and get to where you’re going in all areas of life.
But, how do you still take the daily actions necessary when motivation is low?
We all have days where we wake up and the motivation just isn’t there to do things like go to the gym, get to work early, open the laptop to work on your project, stick to a diet to hit your body goals etc.
This is where discipline comes in.
Having the discipline to do the things I know need to be done, even when I don’t feel motivated, has been the key to me being successful in the areas of life where I’ve had success.
Here is a live example – Writing this post out this second is taking discipline, as I’m sitting at breakfast about to get out skiing while in Val D’Isere, but I understand that consistency with my social media and aiming to add value to my connections, is one of the tasks I know I have to do in order to get to where I want to be.
The key in all of this is to have actual actions/tasks identified, that you know need to be taken, which collectively, add up to your goals being reached!
Then all you have to do is do what it takes.
